Biography

Originally conceived as a Carcass tribute band in 2001, the gore-obsessed grindcore trio County Medical Examiners have since created their own little shop of horrors. Comprised of guitarist Dr. Morton Fairbanks, drummer Dr. Jack Putnam, and bassist Michelle Hayes, the band released its debut (Forensic Fugues and Medicolegal Medleys) on Razorback Records in 2002. Hayes left the group the following year to attend medical school, clearing the way for new bass player Dr. Guy Radcliffe. The group's sophomore release, the brutal and impossibly bloody Olidous Operettas, was released on Relapse Records in 2007. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
