Court TV Canada is a Canadian English language category 2 digital cable specialty channel with programming related to law, police, forensic and rescue and emergency medicine.
Court TV Canada is a wholly owned property of CTVglobemedia. Its name is licensed from the American company Time Warner, the owner of truTV which was formerly called Court TV.

Programming
Court TV Canada consists mainly of trial coverage from its American counterpart truTV during its daytime schedule along with a variety of dramas, films, documentaries, talk shows and more during primetime. In-camera coverage of Canadian trials are not done due to the traditional ban on television cameras in Canadian courtrooms.
Court TV Canada also produces a variety of interstitial programs that are featured throughout the day between its full length programs such as Duty Calls, Crime Files, The Beat and more as well as producing or co-producing full length programs such as Eddie Greenspan: Reel Justice.

History
Court TV Canada was licensed as The Law & Order Channel by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) in November 2000, and was launched on September 7, 2001 as Court TV Canada under the ownership of CHUM Limited. This channel replaced the US service, Court TV which was available by many television service providers in Canada. On June 22, 2007, CTVgm gained control of Court TV Canada as a result of its takeover of CHUM Limited.
