Covenant of the League of Nations
The Covenant of the League of Nations was the treaty that established this predecessor to the United Nations. The UN Charter is essentially a strengthened version of the Covenant, with many parallel provisions and structures[1]. The treaty entered into force on January 10, 1920. The following amendments were made to the Covenant:
- Article 6 was amended on August 13, 1924
- Articles 12, 13 and 15 were amended on Sept. 26, 1924
- Article 4 was amended on July 19, 1926.
