credit cancellation

Marketing Dictionary: credit cancellation

Cancellation of an unpaid credit order; also called kill; kill bad pay. Credit cancellations may be involuntary, as in the case of deadbeats, or voluntary. Future credit cancellation volumes must be estimated by magazine publishers, who then make plans to generate enough new subscriptions to replace the expected credit cancellations, thereby maintaining their rate base.
