Kreep'is. About 200 species of annual to perennial herbs, with milky juice, many rosette-forming, native in the northern hemisphere. Related to Hieracium , the hawkweeds.

Description
Flowerheads without ray flowers, pink, yellow, or white.

How to Grow
Sow seeds outdoors in fall in mild climates, in early spring elsewhere. Prefers well-drained soil and cool weather. Needs no thinning.

Crepis rubra
Hawk's Beard . 8-18 in. (20-45 cm) high. Flowers 1 Ɖ in. (4 cm) wide, in small, solitary, long-stalked heads, red or pink. Italy. The cultivar 'Alba' has white flowers. Hardy annual.
