Cruise missile

A generic name for any self-propelled, guided missile that flies at a moderate speed and at a low altitude, following the terrain beneath it. They are a staple of armaments because they are cheap (approximately $600,000—remember, we're talking the military budget), simple to build and can be launched in large numbers from sea, land or air. The Tomahawk is a cruise missile.
