Injury that continues after a wound from physical or psychic entry. (The latter is a wound that makes a lasting impression on the mind, especially upon the subconscious mind; for example, a three-year-old child could be traumatized by seeing father abuse mother.) Trauma results in other injuries of a continuing nature and is usually covered under health insurance policies.
