Plot

Subway Spring writer/director Zhang Yibai teams with Kung-Fu Hustle co-screenwriter Huo Xin for this mysterious drama about a young photographer with a dangerous penchant for meddling in the affairs of others. Momo (Lin Yuan) is a waif-like shutterbug whose impressive studio sits adjacent to an upscale apartment complex. During the course of a typical day, Momo is constantly snapping cell-phone pictures of anyone and everyone who catches her attention. Upon realizing that local manicurist Sharon Liang (Song Jia) has become locked into a furtive affair with married businessman John Zheng (Hu Jun), Momo gradually strikes up a friendship with John's outwardly dissatisfied spouse Rose Feng (Carina Lau). When it begins to appear that someone has it out for Rose, the story backtracks and begins to take on an added dimension thanks to the observations of keen-eyed apartment complex security guard Liu Fendou (Liao Fan). ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
