Yes, they both do. Its purpose is to oxidize small foreign
organic molecules (xenobiotics), such as toxins or drugs, so that
they can be removed from the body.

With regard to pharmacokinetics, methadone is primarily
metabolized by the CYP3A4 enzyme and to a lesser degree by CYP2B6.
Medications that induce or inhibit this enzyme(which Lidocaine is
one) can increase or decrease the serum concentrations of
methadone.
