Daisuke Watanabe (渡辺 大祐 Watanabe Daisuke, March 11, 1974 -) is a scenario writer from Yokohama, Kanagawa who is currently working for Square Enix. He is well known for working on the scenario of Threads of Fate, Final Fantasy XII with Miwa Shoda, Kingdom Hearts with Jun Akiyama and Kazushige Nojima and Final Fantasy X-2 with Kazushige Nojima and the scenario planner on Final Fantasy X. Daisuke Watanabe is not to be confused by a game designer of the same name who happens to work at Nintendo.
