Dan McCafferty (born William Daniel McCafferty, 14 October 1946, Dunfermline, Scotland[1]) is the lead singer for the Scottish hard rock band, Nazareth. McCafferty is one of the founding members of Nazareth, which was founded in 1968. He has appeared on all of Nazareth's albums. He has released two solo albums. McCafferty is noted for his vocal range and style, and his singing has been an influence for singers like Axl Rose of Guns 'n' Roses, Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Brian Johnson of AC/DC[citation needed].
