Danaans

Danaans (Dănăoi), general name for the Greek nation in Homer and later poets; more particularly, a Peloponnesian Greek people inhabiting the region of Argos in early times; thus the name Danaans sometimes signifies Argives. For their supposed origin see DANAUS.
