Plot

Sylvia Palprini (Carmel Myers) works as a waitress in a Greenwich Village cafe run by Madame Tarkides (Lule Warrenton). Madame's idle son, Tassos (George Rigas), chases after Sylvia, who is not at all interested in him. One night, he grabs her and she hits him with a chair. He collapses and she thinks she has killed him so she hides in the apartment of an artist, George Duray (Herbert Heyes), who lives next door to her. Duray believes she is innocent and uses her as a model for his work. In the end it turns out that a notorious thug actually murdered the young man after Sylvia ran, and when Duray's frigid fiancee (Bonnie Hill) dumps him, he realizes he loves Sylvia anyway. ~ Janiss Garza, All Movie Guide
