Wikipedia: Daniel Reilly

Daniel Reilly (born 24 February 1987), from Maghull,on the outskirts of Liverpool, Merseyside, England, who founded Nexus Airways at age 18.

The corporation was founded when Reilly started studying Business at GCSE and A level at Deyes High School in Maghull. Daniel told reporters that the name Nexus was taken from a Star Trek film, and it means link, which obviously is what the company does, link up countries via air transport. The airline was due to start flights in November, but the company was involved in a newspaper scandal claiming that the airline's partners had gone into liquidation and that passengers were left without a means of travelling. However the newspaper in question later apologised to the company for "exaggerating the claims". It appeared one of the company's backers had gone out of business and flights had to be rescheduled to another airport, but some of the passengers on those flights where not happy with this, so wrote into their local newspaper to complain.

Reilly was an award winner at the Institute of Directors' Director of The Year Awards held in Manchester, September 2005, and has taken part on many TV and Radio shows, including an on air discussion with the Dragons on the BBC's Dragons Den programme.
