Biography

From a very early age, multi-instrumentalist Danielle Evin has known that she wants to devote her entire life to music. As the daughter of two parents with careers in the arts, she grew up between Los Angeles and New York City, often in the presence of musicians. At age eight, she began to play the piano, followed by violin at age 12 and guitar at age 14, the latter of which instruments inspired her songwriting. On her self-titled debut album, Evin plays guitar, piano, and Wurlitzer as well as singing, and she's accompanied by Tracy Bonham. The album was released in June 2006 on LateralView Records and produced by two Grammy winners, Jack Douglas (the Who, Aerosmith, John Lennon) and Michael H. Brauer (Coldplay, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney). ~ Megan Frye, All Music Guide
