Born New York City

Danny Goldman is an American actor, voice artist, and, more recently, casting director. Among his many notable credits include a small role in Young Frankenstein, the voice of Brainy Smurf and Ozzie the Answer in the 80s detective drama Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer. He was also in an episode of Hawaii Five-0.

He appeared as a panelist on the What's My Line? TV program during its syndicated run, and reprised his role on the live stage version in Hollywood several years later.

Currently Danny is a well-known casting director of TV commercials in Hollywood. He returned to the voice of Brainy Smurf for the TV show Robot Chicken in a segment that parodied the movie Se7en. Robot Chicken's creators remarked that of all the casting coups on their show, of which there are many, their greatest was getting Danny Goldman to voice Brainy Smurf in The Smurfs.

Goldman has reprised the role several more times on Robot Chicken, whenever Brainy Smurf appears in a sketch.
