Darren Pang (born February 17, 1965 in Meaford, Ontario) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played his professional career with the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League.

Playing career
Standing only 5-foot-5, Pang was one of the shortest players to play in the NHL. It was often joked that he was the only goalie with a "6 hole," right above his head. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 1988. He was signed as a free agent by the Chicago Blackhawks on August 15, 1984. He also set a Blackhawks goaltender's record with 6 assists in the 1987–1988 NHL season. Pang suffered a career-ending knee injury on September 21, 1990 during training camp. During his playing career he was known to throw up before each game, much like "Mr. Goalie" Glenn Hall. He also played for the Ottawa 67's, and made an exclusive interview with the Great Wayne Gretzky as a good-bye momento for Bryan Kilrea's last coaching game.
Broadcast career
Today, Pang is a color commentator for the St. Louis Blues TV broadcasts and a part time playoff analyst for TSN. He was recently named an "Inside the Glass" reporter for regular season and playoff action for NHL on NBC. Pang also contributes to Home Ice, XM Satellite Radio's all-hockey channel. Before joining the Blues, he was the color commentator for the Phoenix Coyotes, the #2 analyst for ESPN National Hockey Night and NHL on ABC, as well as a reporter for NBC's coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Pang's best friend is former Detroit Red Wings captain Steve Yzerman; he was the best man at Yzerman's wedding. On Tuesday, January 2, 2007, Pang served as the master of ceremonies for Yzerman's jersey retirement ceremony, which was held at Joe Louis Arena prior to a game between the Red Wings and the Anaheim Ducks.
On July 9th, 2009, it was announced that he would be the color commentator for the St. Louis Blues TV broadcasts, with former color man Bernie Federko being relegated to a reporting role for home-game telecasts. Federko will fill in when Pang is not available to do games.
