Biography

When vocalist Woody Rock went gospel on his 2001 Soul Music project, several compositions co-written by this David Evans were chosen as part of the program, including the chummy "A Friend in Me." The word "this" was inserted in order to introduce the important fact that this writer of sacred song is not the same Dave Evans who used to howl heavy metal lyrics with AC/DC; Australian religious zealots could chalk up another conversion by claiming the contrary, however. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
