Biography

David Rosenthal is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. He once played in a band called Morning Thunder with fellow BCoM student Steve Vai. Since school, he has been playing with various artists, including a seven-year tenure with Billy Joel. His other assignments have included Yngwie Malmsteen, Rainbow, and Cyndi Lauper. David H. Rosenthal (1945 - 1995) was an American author, poet, editor, and translator. He wrote mostly on the history of Jazz music and was also an important translator of Portuguese and Catalan literature.
