Biography

American screenwriter David A. Lang inaugurated his Hollywood career with Northwest Rangers, a rare "B" western from MGM. In the mid-1940s, Lang specialized in such fast-moving comedies as One Exciting Night (1945) and People are Funny (1946). He was also skilled at crime melodramas like Flaxy Martin (1949) and suspensers like The Last Outpost (1952). David A. Lang's final film assignment was Udja Azul di Yonta (1992), a spaghetti western filmed in Portugal. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
