David Levin (born 1962) is a British businessman and CEO of United Business Media PLC.

Early life
Levin was born 1962 in what was then the British Colony of Southern Rhodesia until his family moved to England in 1965, as his father, Archie Levin was a journalist critical of the Ian Smith regime. Whilst in the UK his mother Leah Levin became very active in campaigning for human rights. He attended St Paul's School after which he won a scholarship to Wadham College, Oxford, having gained the top grade for politics of any applicant in the Oxford entrance examination. He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics, graduating in 1983. He then lived in San Francisco working for his first employer Bain and while in America he completed an MBA at Stanford University in 1987.
Business career
He is currently CEO of United Business Media PLC, having succeeded Clive Hollick on April 5 2005. He was previously CEO of Symbian plc from April 2002 and he held senior positions at Psion, Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, Apax Partners, Universal Grinding Wheels of Stafford and Bain & Company.
Community and non-profit work
David Levin is also a practising jew and member of Ealing Liberal Synagogue. He is involved in work for the OneVoice Movement, his wife is the Chairman of the International steering comitee, a position he used to hold for 2002 to 2008. As well as being chairman of the freinds of Tel Aviv University, Israel, in the UK a roll he took on after leaving his the finance comitte of Oxford University Press (2002-2009).
He is married to Lindsay Levin, and has three sons, Zachary, Joseph and Louis Levin.
