David Magee (born 1962) is an American screenwriter who was nominated for a 2004 Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Finding Neverland. Along with Simon Beaufoy he wrote the screenplay for Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day starring Frances McDormand and Amy Adams, which was released in 2008. He is currently at work on a film about the murder of naturalist/filmmaker Joan Root for Working Title Films, to star Julia Roberts.
Another David Magee (born 1965) is also a non-fiction author of nine books, including How Toyota Became #1 and Playing to Win: Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys about NFL owner Jerry Jones. He lives in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee and is finishing up his book entitled Jeff Immelt and the New GE Way: Innovation, Transformation and Winning in the 21st Century Jeffrey Immelt.
And yet another David Magee is an author of alternative health books, such as The Lifeforce Maximizer : The World's Mini-Encyclopedia of Life Survival for Conquering Heart Disease.
