David A. Vonner II (born September 17, 1972, in Atlantic City, NJ,) is a toy designer formally of the Hasbro, Inc. toy company, and now is the Director of Design for Kasual Friday, LLC. At Hasbro, David was on the Marvel team, which oversaw the design and development of licensed Marvel's characters based on movies, cartoons and comic books. Along with such movie lines as Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and more, David also oversaw the overall design and development of the Marvel Universe 3 3/4" action figure line since it's beginning in 2009. Since then, the Marvel Universe has become one of the most respected and fan favorite lines, offering a wide variety of characters from Marvel's extensive catalogue.
Prior to Hasbro, David worked for Toy Biz, Inc., and worked alongside other Toy Biz team members (most notably Jesse Falcon) for the creation of Marvel Legends. The Legends figure War Machine bares David's likeness, as well as the 3 3/4" War Machine in the Iron Man 2 Comic Book series.
A collector and lover of comic books, David has mentioned on several occasions that The Mighty Thor was his favorite character growing up, and developed the action figures and accompanying movie toy product based on the theatrical release of the character. David is a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
At the new Kasual Friday, which David started with his former Hasbro Marketing Partner Scott George, David heads up design and development of pop culture product based on several familiar Licenses including Flash Gordon, The Phantom, Army of Darkness, Robocop, and Rocky. Kasual Friday will make it's debut during the 2012 Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con.
