Davy is character from the Ramona series of books by Beverly Cleary.
Fictional character biography
Davy is a skinny shy boy. His parents are divorced, and he lives with his mother. Ramona first meets Davy in kindergarten, in the book Ramona the Pest. She thinks he's so cute she decides to kiss him. She chases him around the playground almost each morning in kindergarten.
Davy is in first grade along with Ramona in Ramona the Brave, and it is discovered that Davy is having reading problems. He reads certain words backwards, which leads one to believe that Davy may be dyslexic. Ramona is torn because she wants to help Davy out.
