daylight saving noon

(¦dā′līt ′sāv·iŋ ′nün)

(astronomy) Twelve o'clock daylight saving time, or the instant the mean sun is over the upper branch of the daylight saving meridian; during a war, when daylight saving time may be used throughout the year and called war time, the expression war noon applies. Also known as summer noon.
