Biography

Formed in 2004, and already courted by indie labels shortly thereafter, Dead Hearts is a hardcore band from Buffalo, NY, featuring vocalist Derek Dole, guitarists Pauly Issue and Jeremy Smith (ex-the Control), bassist Tom Mayer, and drummer Josh Heatley (ex-the Pavers). Possessors of a distinctly melodic and slower-paced songwriting style for their genre, the band warmed up for their well-received full-length debut -- 2006's Ferret Records-backed Bitter Verses -- with a 2005 EP named No Love No Hope, released through Reflections Records. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
