Dear Friend is a television drama that has been broadcast on Philippine television since August 2008. It is a weekly drama anthology of inspiring stories of people who are having family and love problems. The show is an hour-long dose of hope for today’s problem-weary viewer. The show is hosted by Concert Princess Jolina Magdangal and actor Marvin Agustin. [1]

First Season
The first season featured one story per episode. The stories came from the the viewers who emailed those in their email address. The first episode was starred by Jennica Garcia and Mart Escudero[2]. Some of the stories were parted into two episodes like Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras' story. A two part special featured the host of the show, Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin. The highest rating achieved until now was 18% which is Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras episode.
