Plot

From Season One of Debbie Travis' Painted House, Episode 112 creates a space for eating with easy parchment walls and effects created with two coats of paint. With natural light, the look is fresh, while at night, it becomes romantic. Decoupaged lamp shades grace the sideboard, while romantic verdigris candlesticks made from tarnished bronze and copper form the heart of a table centerpiece. Block-painted vines trail along wall moldings, making permanent plants. Block-painting techniques (the opposite of stenciling) are explained, along with "dragging," the literal dragging of a brush to create depth in color. ~ Leslie Birdwell, All Movie Guide
