Debenham is a large village and civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district of Suffolk in eastern England. In 2005 it had a population of 2,040.[1]

Geography
The River Deben rises in the parish, and runs along a prolonged ford through the village, and claims to be the longest ford in the United Kingdom.[2]
Facilities
This large village has many facilities including a number of pubs and a grocery store. Debenham High School (for students aged 11–16) is situated on Gracechurch Street. Debenham also has a primary School for ages 5-11.
The local football club, Debenham LC is based at the village's leisure centre, and plays in Division One of the Eastern Counties League.
