The first official US Christmas stamp was issued in 1964. It was
a definitive (small) sized stamp and pictured a wreath. It had a
face value of 4 cents, the normal cost of mailing First Class
items.

price is the cost of cataloging and stocking the stamp. A dealer is
not likely to pay for this 2 cent stamp, it would be more work than
it is worth.
