O'Driscoll, Dennis (1954- ), poet. Born in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, he was educated there and at UCD. He joined the Civil Service in 1970, rising to the rank of Assistant Principal Officer. His first volume, Kist (1982), was followed by Hidden Extras (1987), Long Story Short (1993) The Bottom Line (1994), Quality Time (1997), and Weather Permitting (1999).
