Aufstand der Fischer von St. Barbara, Der, a story by Anna Seghers, published in 1928. It deals with the revolt of a community of Breton fishermen against their employers because of low wages. After lives have been lost and damage done, the rising collapses because the fishermen at other ports fail to maintain solidarity.
