Desert Dwellers
Desert Dwellers are a group of musicians and music producers that create primarily downtempo electronic music. The group grew out of a collaboration between Treavor Walton (Treavor Moontribe) and Amani Friend in 2002. The collaboration grew to include Rara Avis, Jeff Grossman, Kepi (Jeff Steinmetz), and Craig Kohland. The various collaborators of Desert Dwellers participate in a number of other collaborations.
Their album, DownTemple Dub // Flames, was featured as CD of the Month in November 2006 on Echoes, a Public Radio International music show.
