Biography

An associate of London experimentalists Nurse With Wound and the wife of that outfit's Steven Stapleton, vocalist Chrystal Belle Scrodd (real name: Diane Rogerson) released The Inevitable Chrystal Belle Scrodd Record in 1985 on United Dairies. A second album, Belle de Jour, followed the next year. In 1987, Scrodd recorded a split 7" release with Nurse With Wound as the Termite Queen (Crank). The Beastings compilation was released in 1993, compiling her best moments from each release. Three of her collaborative works with Nurse With Wound's Steven Stapleton appeared on 1999's The Swinging Reflective: Favorite Moments of Mutual Ecstasy, which was also issued through United Dairies.
