Diana West (b. 1961 in Hollywood, CA ) is a nationally syndicated American journalist, pundit and author. She writes commentary for the Newspaper Enterprise Association and occasionally writes op-ed pieces for the Washington Times, where she worked until 2002. She is the author of the non fiction book The Death of the Grown Up.

West has contributed essays and features to various outlets, including: The Wall Street Journal, The Weekly Standard, The Washington Post, The Atlantic Monthly, The New Criterion, The Public Interest, and Women's Quarterly. She has also written fiction for The Atlantic Monthly and has been a columnist for Scripps Howard News Service. She is a frequent pundit on the Lou Dobbs shows, and is a CNN contributor known for her breathy delivery. She lives in Washington D.C. with her husband and two daughters.

In European 'democracy' article (Washington times, 2008-09-28) she wrote "I have watched [...] a few favorite blogs (Brussels Journal, Gates of Vienna, Atlas Shrugs)".

Awards

In 2001, she won second place for editorial writing in the Maryland-Delaware-DC Press Association Contest (largest daily division). In 1990, she won a first place prize in feature writing from The National Newspaper Association.
