Büchse der Pandora, Die, a play in three acts by F. Wedekind, written between 1892 and 1901, and published in 1904 (revised 1906). It is a sequel to Erdgeist. Lulu, rescued from gaol by her lesbian friend Countess Geschwitz, becomes a prostitute, escapes being sold by a white slave trader to Cairo, and takes refuge in London, where she and the Countess are murdered by Jack the Ripper.
