Gartenlaube, Die, an illustrated weekly, intended for family consumption. Founded in 1853 by Ernst Keil (1816-78), it lasted until 1918, when it lost its identity in an amalgamation. W. Raabe, Th. Storm, L. Schücking, and E. Marlitt were among its contributors.
