diocese of Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich

British History: diocese of Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich

The See, roughly conterminous with Suffolk, was created in 1914 out of the Norwich diocese. Perpendicular parish church adjoining the tower of the ruined former Norman abbey.
