Disen Gage is an instrumental progressive rock, psychedelic rock, jazz fusion and fusion group from Russia.

History
The band was formed in 1999 by Yuri Alaverdyan and Konstantin Mochalov on guitars, Nikolay Syrtsev on bass guitar and Eugeniy Kudryashov on drums.
Though the band gained popularity in intellectual and student's communities, the band members decided to stop their musical activity because of them being busy with their academic career in the Moscow Institute of Bio-Organic Chemisrty.
In the year 2002 the band members decided to use a rare chance to record a farewell cassette for their friends and fans.
In the year 2004 the material the music band recorded reached the RAIG music label, and the label released it as their debut album under the name The Screw-Loose Entertainment. The album received positive reviews at many web sites[1], including Dutch Progressive Rock Page[2], Delusions Of Adequacy (USA)[3], In Rock (Russia), Grrove (Sweden)[4], Splendid (USA)[5], Progwereld (Holland), Art Rock Pl (Poland)[6], Chaos Vault (Poland)[7], and Mmusic In Belgium (Belgium)[8], Nota-Bena (Russia)[9], Impakte (Maroc)[10]. The album received 4 out of 5 rating in the Prog Archives web site[11], And 9 out of ten rating from the Disagreement web site[12].
After the success of the debut album, the band decided to restore its normal activity.
In the same year the band appeared in the most important progressive rock festival of Russia, InProg. Later that year Yuri Alaverdyan left Russia and the band for an academic career abroad.
Soon the band returned to be a four-people band with the arrival of a new guitarist, Sergey Bagin, to take the place of Yuri Alaverdyan. The new guitarist helped the band to progress from a guitar-oriented progressive rock to a challenging avant-prog group.
The band appeared again in the InProg festival in 2005.
In 2006 the band released a new album, Libertage. The album received a four out of five stars rating at Prog Archives[13], Neformat-Boom (Russia)[14], In Rock (Russia), Nota-Bena (Russia)[15], Salon Audio-Video (Russia)[16], Muz-Prosvet (Ukraine)[17]. Though the reviews on the new album, like on the previous one, were positive, they came practically only from Russia, unlike the previous one that also received many international positive reviews.
After Libertage the band for a few years completely dedicated itself to touring and no information on a following album was released.
In 2008 the band released its third studio album, "...the reverse may be true". The album united between the structural constraints of the first album and the improvisational freedom of their second one[18]. Like the previous albums, the album recived high marks, and like the first album, they came from many countries. Beetwen the praisers of the album were Inoi Lip (Russia)[19], Sonic Frontiers (USA)[20], Rate Your Music (USA)[21], Progwereld (The Netherlands)[22], Sea Of Tranquility (USA)[23], DisAgreement (Luxembourg)[24] and ProgArchives[25].

Trivia
- Though hard to believe, the whole album Libertage was spontaneously composed and improvised on the spot.
- The members of the group all continue with their academic careers besides the musical one.
- On the poster of the InProg 2004 festival the name of the band was mistakenly printed on the poster in one word, Disengage.
