display bin

Marketing Dictionary: display bin

One of the many varieties of displays used in point-of-purchase advertising. Usually constructed of cardboard or fiberboard, a display bin is an open container for small items. It is designed so that customers can handle and examine the merchandise contained within, in the belief that once a customer has the goods in hand, a purchase will result. Sometimes called dump bin.
