Service Patterns
The typical Monday-Saturday off-peak service from Diss is:
- 2 trains per hour (tph) to London Liverpool Street, of which:
- 1 tph calls at Stowmarket, Ipswich, Manningtree, Colchester (North) and Shenfield (to set down only)
- 1 tph calls at Ipswich, Manningtree, Colchester, then calls at Chelmsford and Stratford (to set down only)
- 2 tph to Norwich
On Sundays this is reduced to one train per hour in each direction. Trains for London follow the first format described above (calling at Stowmarket and Shenfield, not at Chelmsford and Stratford).
Diss has a rare distinction of being served exclusively by Intercity trains.
