Botswana is divided into 9 districts:
- Central District
- Ghanzi District
- Kgalagadi District
- Kgatleng District
- Kweneng District
- North-East District
- North-West District
- South-East District
- Southern District
In 2001 the districts Chobe and Ngamiland (numbers 2 and 7, respectively, on the map below) were merged into North-West.
