Review

The soundtrack for the movie Disturbing Behavior is a collection of tracks by several alt-rock newcomers. Most of the bands sound very similar to previous alternative hitmakers, with only a few real standouts from the bunch -- the mope rock of "Got You (Where I Want You)" by the Flys and Jack Drag's "Psycho Clogs" (which sounds like a cross between Marilyn Manson and Weezer). It's pretty easy to hear which established bands sound strikingly similar to these newcomers -- 311 can be detected in "Million Rappers" by Phunk Junkeez, while "Monster Side" by Addict sounds an awful lot like Smashing Pumpkins. Also, the reckless punk-pop of Nirvana and Green Day lives on in the songs "Every Little Thing Counts" (Janus Stark), "Hole in My Soul" (Hutt), and "Blown" (F.O.S.). After hearing the Disturbing Behavior soundtrack, many will feel like they've heard it all before, but lovers of commercial, angst-ridden '90s alt-rock will eat it up. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
