Biography

Besides the Liquid Sky community, DJ Dara is probably New York's leading exponent of drum'n'bass. He has led several club nights around the city and began recording for Sm:)e Communications with his first album, Rinsimus Maximus, released in July 1997. The following year, he returned with the mix album Full Circle:Drum & Bass DJ Mix, while both Renegade Continuum and Halfway Home appeared in 1999. His New York City based jungle record store, Breakbeat Science, established itself as an important contribution to the American growth of drum n' bass and it's younger talent. DJ Dara continued his prolific output in early 2000 with From Here to There. He returned a year later on Moonshine with Future Perfect. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
