Blogger: Doc Searles

Doc Searls, who runs "Doc Searles Weblog," is a senior editor for Linux Journal and has written for Omni, Wired, PC Magazine, The Standard, The Sun, Upside, and The Globe and Mail, among others. Searls also owns and manages "Doc Searls' IT Garage," a group journal launched by the publisher of the "Linux Journal," SSC. He is a co-author of The Cluetrain Manifesto, and, a marketing and public relations expert, he co-founded Hodskins, Simone and Searls, a top pr and advertising firm from Silicon Valley. The company was bought in 1998 by Publicis Technology. The pr department of HS&S spun off into The Searls Group, a marketing consultancy.

At one time a regular on the radio, Searls is still frequently heard on "The Linux Show" and "The Gillmore Gang," both on-Web radio programs.
