Biography

Vocalists Juanita (from Inglewood, CA) and Monica (from Baltimore, MD) formed the "grown and sexy" contemporary R&B duo Doll Phace after meeting at a job in Los Angeles. Taking their name from the nickname given to Monica as a track athlete, the women recorded 2009's Love Tonic for the Fontana-affiliated Tru/Bonzi and had their music featured in the films Mama, I Want to Sing! and Let the Church Say Amen. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
