Cordillera Central: Getting Here, Getting Around:

Constanza has a small airport, Constanza Landing Field (COZ), offering only domestic airline service from Aerodomca (☎ 809-826-4058, www.aerodomca.com) and by helicopter from Helidosa (☎ 809-688-0744). The nearest major airport, Santiago International Airport, serves the country’s second largest city, which is north of the Dominican Alps region. American Airlines (☎ 800-433-7300, www.aa.com) and Jet Blue (☎ 800-538-2583, www.jetblue.com) fly to Santiago from New York City. Delta (☎ 800-241-4141, www.delta.com) flies there from both New York and Atlanta. There are also domestic flights from around the country. Rental cars and taxis are available at the airport. Travelers could also fly into Puerto Plata’s Gregorio Luperón International Airport, or into Santo Domingo’s Las Américas International Airport. All have good highway connections to the region.
