This protected cloud forest reserve situated atop Casabito mountain (en route to the Constanza Valley) protects the green ebony tree and the more than 600 other species of plants and 60 species of birds (a dozen endangered) that thrive in this area. While hiking here, you may spot a Hispaniolan emerald, or possibly even el zumbadorcito, the world’s second-smallest bird.

Just to the right of the park entrance is a sign marking a four-mile trail that winds down into the reserve.
