Coming from Chapel Hill, NC, it shouldn't be any surprise that Gumption's sound is comparable to Superchunk, but there's also a bit of a Pavement hint on this two-songer. There are a few layers of multi-vocals, and the music is angst-filled and bitter, but in a sweet and endearing way. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
