Donald Carnegie McKenna was an American philanthropist and scholar best remembered for his contributions to the liberal arts college in Claremont, California which now bears his name: Claremont McKenna College.

McKenna's family moved to Claremont in 1918. There he met and, on June 7, 1928, married Bernice Waller. He went on to graduate from Pomona College (which his grandfather had helped to found) in 1929.

McKenna played a key role in the founding of what was initially called Claremont Men's College in the mid-1940s. He continued to contribute to the development of the College as a member of the board of directors for the rest of his life. In 1982, after embracing gender integration, Claremont Men's College changed its name to Claremont McKenna College in honor of its best-known founding trustee.

Donald was an avid chess player and lover of native American artifacts, most especially Hopi and Navajo Kachina dolls.
